My name is Steve Young and I am a retired California Highway Patrol Officer. I will also be your instructor in one of the online traffic courses with B Line Traffic Schools. No matter what course you sign up for, my goals are the same: Present you with the information that you need in a way that will not put you to sleep and then get you back to your life.  Throughout some of the courses I have included interesting situations, people and other random things I have come across in my 25+ years with the CHP to break things up a bit. Ok ok, enough about me. Close this window and start your course with B Line Traffic Schools today.

Traffic School Options

19 Sep Blog | Comments

Traffic schools are known for helping teenagers study for their driver’s exams. Traffic school is a great resource for teenagers to learn all the rules of the road. It is there to help teenagers get both their learner’s permits and driver’s licenses. It offers practice tests to help the student pass the final written exam. It gives tips on being a good defensive driver and it covers state-specific traffic laws.

What many people do not know is that traffic schools offer other courses as well.

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Test Prep – This course is similar to the Driver’s License Test Prep course in that its main goal is to help the person pass his or her exam. The course reviews rules of the road and offers practice tests in order to gain more confidence when taking the actual exam.
  • Traffic Violator Course – Traffic school is also available for some people who receive a 1-point traffic violation. This course allows the person to go through the course which reviews all of the rules of the road, including the state-specific rules and gives them a final exam that they must pass with a 70% or better. Once the course is completed the person can send in his or her certificate to get that point removed from his or her driver’s license record.
  • Mature Driver Improvement Course – Unfortunately, as we get older certain reflexes get slower making driving more of a challenge. Driving allows us to be more independent so giving it up is not something most of us want to do. In order to help mature drivers keep their driver’s licenses longer this course is a great way to help them do just that. The course covers possible issues for a mature driver and how to be more aware of them and avoid them. For example, some medications make a person drowsy. If a person is aware of that he or she can take the proper precautions, like trying the medication for a day or two before getting behind the wheel. By completing this course, many insurance companies will either reduce or at the very least not increase an older driver’s rates.

There are several very good traffic school courses out there that can help a variety of people. If you are getting your driver’s license for the first time there is a course that can help. If you have your driver’s license, but would like to be able to drive a big rig, you would need your CDL, and there is a course that can help you prepare.

If you recently got a traffic ticket for a 1-point citation there is a traffic school course that can help you get that point removed from your driver’s license, if you qualify. Or if you are getting a little older and want to brush up on your driving skills and perhaps save a little money on your car insurance rates, there is a course that can help you accomplish that goal. Traffic schools offer many options for lots of different types of people.
