05 Feb Blog | Comments

In order to avoid getting traffic tickets in California, one has to shun away from making frequent traffic violations. For starters, drivers should be informed on the basics when it comes to traffic rules in California. For people who have busy schedules, enrolling in an online traffic school would be a reasonable thing to do. It is a very convenient way to learn about the rules that should be observed on the roads while driving.
By following the simple rules laid down by the traffic department, one will be sure to stay away from trouble on the road. Here is a list of the top 10 reasons as to why many people in California end up with tickets. The lowest price traffic school teamed up with the traffic department to make a convenient training program for drivers. In California, one can have their ticket dismissed by taking the lowest price traffic school.

1. Exceeding speed limits
This is the most common violation of traffic rules all over the world. When driving, take note of all speed limit signs on the road. Exceeding speed limits is especially common on highways. Speeding in residential neighborhoods is not only a violation of the traffic rules but it also puts the lives of pedestrians at risk.

2. Ignoring a stop sign
It is wrong to violate any traffic light sign. One should stop when the traffic light indicates that and move when it indicates the same. When traffic lights are changing, take time to see what they are indicating in order to follow them. Most people have a habit of running through stop signs and red lights.

3. Changing lanes hazardously
This mostly happens on the freeway when a driver is trying to overtake. It is good to always turn on the indicator when changing lanes in the freeway. Only change lanes when it is necessary. It is not advisable to keep changing lanes every other minute when driving. These are some of the basic rules that one learns in traffic school.

4. Driving irresponsibly
This basically means driving without paying attention to the road. Never talk on the phone when driving. It is advisable to always keep your eyes on the road when driving. If something falls in the car, do not bend down to pick it up when driving. Being keen on the road will help in avoiding tickets. Ensure that you also have a valid driving license when driving.

5. Ignoring railroad rules
When driving near a rail road, be on the lookout for any rail road signs. Many people get tickets by trying to make it through a railway line before lights flash out.

6. Following other cars too closely
Keep a distance between your car and other cars. Do not follow other cars too closely; this will ensure that one has enough time to make an emergency stop when the need arises, without bumping into another person’s car.

7. Not paying attention to directions
Taking note of no U-turn signs and one-way signs is very important. Never ignore these signs. In traffic school, one is taught all about traffic signs and why it is important to follow them.

8. Drinking and driving
There is a law that clearly prohibits people from drinking under the influence of alcohol or any other drug that might impair their judgment on the road. Many people have lost their lives due to driving while drunk.

9. Driving in a no passing zone
Another basic thing that people learn in traffic school is how not to pass or park a car in a place where this is prohibited. By following some of these simple rules, one is likely to have a good time in the roads with no tickets.

10. Ignoring pedestrian crossing signs
Always give pedestrians time to cross especially when driving near a school, hospital or recreational facility. This will reduce the number of accidents on the roads.
