My name is Steve Young and I am a retired California Highway Patrol Officer. I will also be your instructor in one of the online traffic courses with B Line Traffic Schools. No matter what course you sign up for, my goals are the same: Present you with the information that you need in a way that will not put you to sleep and then get you back to your life.  Throughout some of the courses I have included interesting situations, people and other random things I have come across in my 25+ years with the CHP to break things up a bit. Features of Online Traffic School

05 Mar Blog | Comments

Almost all of us have been there before, driving along, not really paying attention to our speed and the next thing we know we see the blue and red lights in our rearview mirror. Getting a traffic ticket is no fun, but if it’s been more than 18 months since you’ve had one you may have the option to get that one-point citation removed from your driver’s license. Taking and completing, successfully a traffic school course, in a classroom or online, can get that one-point citation removed. Many people are opting to take online traffic school and here’s why:

Features of Online Traffic School

To some people traffic school is traffic school, it doesn’t matter if it’s taken in a classroom or online. Most often that opinion is from people who have never taken traffic school. With our busy lives, today is difficult enough to find time for the day-to-day activities. Having to take a traffic school course can be quite inconvenient.

Having the option to take an online traffic school allows many more people to take advantage of getting their one-point traffic citation removed. Below is a list of other features of online traffic school:

  • Convenience – online traffic school allows a person to work through the eight hours of material at their convenience. If a person has 30 minutes at lunchtime or an hour before bedtime he or she is able to work on the traffic school course.
  • Accessibility – online traffic school is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So long as a person has access to the Internet and a device to work on he or she can work on the traffic school course.
  • Assistance – most online traffic schools have a customer service department available, day or night, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. They are there to help you with any questions you may have about the material or help you troubleshoot any problems you may be encountering.
  • Valuable – the content included in the online traffic school course will be valuable to anyone who takes it. Along with covering state traffic laws and safe practices any person taking the course will also be introduced to defensive driving. Defensive driving is a valuable skill that anyone getting behind the wheel should learn.
  • Certificate – once you have successfully passed the final exam, which is 40 questions, with a score of at least 75% you will receive a certificate of completion. You will also receive the necessary instructions to submit that certificate to the proper court.

Nobody likes getting a traffic ticket, but a person who drives for a living and/or anyone who has several points on their driving record already could really benefit from taking a traffic school course. With our busy lives, today taking a traffic school course in a classroom can be not only inconvenient but impossible.

Having the option to take an online traffic school course is a great choice for many people. Online traffic school courses offer convenience, 24-hour accessibility, customer service assistance, valuable information and a certificate of completion. Believe it or not, getting a one-point traffic citation removed from a person’s driving record could help them save their job and/ or increased insurance rates.
